- Basic membership: Free! You don't need to spend anything to become a member of the PipeTrader community. After you have been verified via email, you will have full access to browse listings on the Trader section of our site, browse or contrinbute to the Wiki as well as to either troll or spout off in the Forums
- Listing fees: Currently, it costs you nothing to list an item on PipeTrader. There are fees are on upsells (like bold, features, extra pictures, etc) as well as a transaction fee.
- Upsell fees: Here are the upsell items available on each listing:
- Bold listings: $2.00 will get your item's title listed in bold on any listing page.
- Extra Pictures: $0.25 each picture beyond the first two pictures that you get to add for free.
- Gallery Listing: $5.00 will get your item's primary picture displayed randomly in our gallery listings as well as a thumbnail image on the listings page.
- Highlight Listing: $5.00 will get your item displayed in an alternate color to make it stand out from other listings.
- Category Featured: $10.00 will get your item listed before non-featured items on a category browse page.
- Home Page Featured: $25.00 will get your item included in random on the the main page of the Trader section of the site.
- Sales fees: Ok, so we do have to make some money somewhere to support this venture. The fees we will charge you are based on the final sales price of the pipe; a mechanism that is similar to what Ebay does. For items under $50.00 in value, you will be charged 10%. For items over $50.00 it drops to 5% of the final sales price of the item.
- Stores Stores are designed primarily for those who would like to be able to post a large number of pipes and who regularly are posting new inventory. These are ideal for pipe shops and carvers.
- Setup fee: We are currently waiving all set up fees for pipeshops and carvers that sign up with us during the beta period.
- Monthly fee: We are currently waiving Monthly Fees through the end of the year for those who sign up for their stores between now and the end of the
- Trades: We are currently charging $4.00 per completed transaction to help offset the price of operating this site.
